Our white opal stars are opaque and flash primarily pink, blue, green, and yellow. The opals are flat on all sides. The 7mm white star opals are thicker than the other stars we carry--about 2mm thick. These opals do not require a special annealing cycle like the rough opals do. Just encase, keep warm in the kiln, and incorporate into your work. This larger star is a great focal point, especially with a lens over top.
Please note: Occasionally we have stars with polished edges. The polishing process rounds the edges of the opal which effects its appearance slightly. Please leave us a comment during check out if you prefer that the edges are polished.
