Monarch Synthetic Opal - Rough

Monarch synthetic opal rough is a resin based opal (not heat resistant) and is opaque with a natural yellow to white base color. The fire ranges from red to orange to green to blue and everything in between. Black lines are throughout the opal which gives the material a distinct butterfly wing look that is very appealing. The thickness of this monarch opal generally varies from 2mm and 4mm and is best for inlay or low dome cabs. 

This material is in the rough form (unpolished) and does have flaws such as fissures or excess silica/resin. The material comes in many forms/sizes/fire patterns/fire colors and will look similar (but not exactly like) picture shown on our site. This material is sold by the gram, meaning that if you order 6 grams we may send you 6, one gram pieces, 1 six gram piece or anything in between. PLEASE NOTE: This material is not heat resistant and therefore can not be used with molten glass
