Don't be fooled by the imitation Gilson opal that is currently on the market. It won't work with glass because its made with plastic resin. Not only is this opal compatible with Pyrex but it holds it's color and fire perfectly. You should be able to get 10 beads or marbles out of each gram without problem, which makes it more affordable than milliefiori !! This opal is also easier to use then milliefiori and only takes a second to incorporates into your art!!! This material contains expansion / contraction stress fractures and many other "imperfections" are possible. These imperfections are more than offset by the color and fire in this grade opal .
